727 Sailbags x TBS
To celebrate 2025, the Year of the Oceans, 727 Sailbags and TBS have joined forces to launch an eco-friendly collection of luggage and apparel, with a forward-looking spirit.
Both brands share a common belief: protecting the oceans is essential for the future of the next generations.
At the heart of this collaboration, rooted in maritime adventure, the two brands are charting new courses, exploring innovations such as the use of recycled sails and compactable designs.
Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, Arctic: each piece highlights one of the world’s oceans, serving as a call to protect these precious ecosystems.
Set out to conquer the elements with the unisex ARTIC jacket by TBS x 727 Sailbags!
Born from a committed collaboration between TBS and 727 Sailbags, the ARTIC jacket combines technical performance with an eco-friendly approach. Designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, it effectively protects you from wind and heavy rain thanks to its triple-layer 15K/15K membrane, ensuring exceptional waterproofing and breathability.
Functional and thoughtfully designed, it features an adjustable hood, drawcord, and a convenient zippered pocket. Staying true to the nautical spirit of both brands, this piece is made from recycled sailcloth that has traveled across at least one of the world's five major oceans. The number 5, subtly integrated into the design, celebrates this maritime heritage and symbolizes the call of the open sea.

This product is made with spinnaker inserts. Invented in 1937, nylon is the oldest synthetic fiber used in sailcloth. Its lightness, elasticity and resistance make it the ideal material for the spinnaker of sailboats. Usually quite colorfull, the "spinnaker" is easy to spot on sea with its bubble shape at the front of boats sailing downwind.
In our workshop in Lorient, Brittany, we collect sails every day. Through these sails, singular stories of navigations. Each sail has its own story, and you can learn about it on the authentication sheet that you can find on most of our products. By giving a second life to the these sails, we commit for the preservation of the environment. To learn more about the different sails we upcycle, please read the segment about the life cycle of a sail.
