727 Sailbags revisits the long-sleeved crew neck sweatshirt, featuring recycled white spinnaker sail inserts. You will love its raglan sleeves - inspired by retro-American university sweatshirts - which highlights the shoulders and provides immense comfort.

The 727 Sailbags crew neck sweatshirt is made using 100% cotton knit. Slightly lighter than our hooded sweatshirt, this men's sweatshirt completes your look for the office, or for simply enjoying weekend family outings.

In heather blue and heather gray colourways, it pairs perfectly with jeans, chinos or shorts. For a more elegant look, wear it over a crisp white shirt or polo shirt, with the collar sticking out. For a more casual look, wear it over a t-shirt. The added bonus: its elbow patches and its sail motif (embroidered over the heart) comes in flexible and light recycled spinnaker sail.

An essential garment to keep you comfortable and stylish in any season.

  • 100% cotton, loop knit - 440gr/m2
  • Ribbed collar, cuffs and waist
  • Elbow pads made in soft recycled spinnaker sail
  • Embroidered sailing logo made in light and flexible spinnaker sail
  • Round navy patch with a white 727 Sailbags logo on right shoulder

This product is made with spinnaker inserts. Invented in 1937, nylon is the oldest synthetic fiber used in sailcloth. Its lightness, elasticity and resistance  make it the ideal material for the spinnaker of sailboats. Usually quite colorfull, the "spinnaker" is easy to spot on sea with its bubble shape at the front of boats sailing downwind.

In our workshop in Lorient, Brittany, we collect sails every day. Through these sails, singular stories of navigations. Each sail has its own story, and you can learn about it on the authentication sheet that you can find on most of our products. By giving a second life to the these sails, we commit for the preservation of the environment. To learn more about the different sails we upcycle, please read the segment about the life cycle of a sail.
